A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

How does the sizing run?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also be smart.
